I'm Mai and I am a solo traveler from Okayama, Japan. When I first started exploring Japan in 2017, I was really into visiting Starbucks stores and aimed to visit as many as possible. However, my focus eventually shifted to exploring beautiful places where I could make lasting memories. In 2019, I took my first solo trip abroad to Taiwan and discovered that traveling was my escape, a way to learn and discover new things. My ultimate goal is to inspire other young women to be confident and take the first step towards exploring the world and embarking on their own journeys
Wandering the world

During the first few years of my travels, my main goal was to explore the beauty of South East Asia. I packed some dresses, my phone, and clicker, and started my journey from Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, to Thailand. One of the things I found fascinating was learning about new cultures, hearing stories from the locals, and finding art in the portraits I took.
Rediscovering Japan
After living in Japan for more than ten years, I have had the opportunity to appreciate the country's beauty throughout all seasons, from the bustling cities to the serene countryside. I have been keen with what the country could offer, but it wasn't until the pandemic that I decided to visit all 47 prefectures.
